语言能力、学习能力、思维品质、文化品格构成了英语学科的核心素养；核心素养的达成又反映了学生综合语言运用的能力。新课标改革，强调了把英语学科核心素养的育人目标落到实处。在主题意义引领下，以语篇为依托，整合性地学习语言知识和文化知识，通过学习理解、应用实践、迁移创新等一系列促进语言、文化、思维融合发展的活动，以达成学生素养的培育。2022年小学英语单元整体教学设计与实施观摩研讨活动的最后阶段，我们以聚焦“主题意义”，落实“学习活动观”，进入新的篇章。

安徽省马鞍山市教研团队带来他们的单元【PEP 4B U4 At the farm】。

经过Getting to know vegetables、Visiting the vegetable garden、Visiting Mr. MacDonald’s farm、Playing at Mr. MacDonald’s farm的“活动”，在一个农场里“6”下回忆。

经历了在农场的听闻、劳动，在Getting to know vegetables时，学生正确认读、朗读核心词汇carrot,potato, tomato, green bean及其复数形式，运用句型“They are so big/long…”描述物品的特点，借助图片、音乐、视频看懂、听懂文本内容，并从颜色、特点、个人喜好三个维度对四种蔬菜进行简单的口头描述。在Visiting the vegetable garden时，学生理解对话大意，学习句型问答是否是某蔬菜以及是何蔬菜：Are these carrots? Yes, they are. What are these? They’re tomatoes.在情景中恰当运用句型They’re good/so big! 等来描述蔬菜特点。

两个“活动”的分课时，让学生明白新鲜的蔬菜水果是健康食品。并积极养成不挑食，不偏食，培养健康的饮食观。

主题意义渗透在活动里、视听理解表达

本单元第一课时Getting to know vegetables，由问题What vegetables can you see at the farm?总起开展Watch the video、Tick or cross的活动，视听结合，整体感知文本Hello，kids！Welcome to my farm.Look, so many vegetables. Let’s go and see.

问题Who likes carrots? What does Chen Jie love to eat? What do Mike and John love to eat?分段开展Listen and answer、Pairwork to act、Listen and match、Try to act等活动，在朗读、演读的过程中体验和理解语言Look at the carrots. They’re orange. They’re good. I love carrot. Look at the tomatoes. They’re red. They’re so yummy. I love to eat tomatoes. Look at the potatoes. They’re brown. They’re nice. I love to eat potatoes. Look at the green beans. They’re green.They’re so long. I love to eat green beans. 同时升华体验Eat more vegetables. Enjoy healthy life.

过程活动进行语言学习、猜测理解表达

本单元第二课时Visiting the vegetable garden，由问题Which vegetables are they talking about?总起开展Watch and choose的活动，进入话题、语境Hey!Kids! Follow me. Let’s go to the vegetable garden.

在呈现图片时，也呈现了语境Mr.MacDonald and the children are talking about carrots.进入Look at these! Are these carrots? Yes, they are. Wow! They’re so big!的语段学习，过程中学习these的音形义，结合该语境和语段，将其嵌入其中，通过Practice in pairs的对话加深理解；同时也通过挖空的练习，让学生了解Are these carrots?的复述表达。继而，教师引导学生观察图片及语言框架，区分this和these的表达，通过镂空的对话练习，学生了解Is this a carrot? 的单数表达。随着语境场景的变化，They are talking about tomatoes now.进入What are these? They’re tomatoes. But they’re yellow! Try some!They’re good. They’re yum.的语段学习，过程中经过观察图片猜一猜，理解What are these?的提问，并知道They’re tomatoes. 在最后的Role-play活动中，感受Eat more fruit, eat more vegetables. They are good for us.
